Guests enjoy a variety of restaurants, two with Michelin-starred chefs and several bars catering to every taste, mood and occasion.

Restaurants include the delightful La Terrasse with a casual feet-in-the-sand dining concept, Rasoi by Vineet offering tantalising Indian inspired flavours in the tropical waterside location formerly known as Paul & Virginie and Alain Ducasse's Spoon des Ilses. A live band and cabaret shows provide the evening entertainment.

The focus at the One&Only Spa is on ensuring guests reach a personal sense of equilibrium through a tailored approach designed around their goals -- whether to Unwind, Restore or Elevate. Featuring natural, organic products, spa treatments are aligned with a more comprehensive range of fitness options, including four and seven day fitness packages.

KidsOnly, a complimentary service for children ages four to eleven, is offers a range of supervised daily activities from 10am to 10pm each day.

The clubhouse has play areas, a swimming pool, arts and crafts facilities, computer stations, a movie room and its own restaurant. Children also have the opportunity to enjoy golf, tennis, windsurfing and swimming clinics, as well as environmental excursions. (Children under four years old must always be accompanied by an adult or guardian.)

Activities for twelve- to seventeen-year-olds provide the opportunity to make new friends and take part in a variety of dynamic activities, sports, events, excursions, discos and theme evenings. The resort offers a designated meeting place to gather and plan their own programme with the help of the Sports and Entertainment team.

For babies and toddlers, the resort offers professional baby-sitting services at a nominal fee. Complimentary cots for children below the age of two are available upon request.

For kids aged 6-16 years there is also a specially developed menu of spa treatments.

Watersports

The calm waters of the cove are ideal for kayaks, pedal boats, banana-boat and tube rides, as well as complimentary water-skiing; whereas the coral-sea lagoon on the ocean side is better suited for snorkelling, windsurfing, Hobiecats, monohull Lasers, and small-game fishing.

Water skiers and board riders can enjoy a water ski slalom course and JBWA school featuring ski/wakeboard training. Experienced skiers can test their skills on the slalom course, while novices receive one-on-one private instruction. Youngsters from age eight to twelve years old can also join in on the fun with introductory courses.

Kite surfing lessons are alos offered for everybody from total beginners to advanced riders.

Golf and Tennis

At the lush Gary Player 9-hole par-33 course, complete with its own clubhouse and One&Only Golf Academy, complimentary greens fees allow guests of all skill level to experience a fine golfing experience within the grounds of the hotel.

Instruction for players of any level is available from intensive training with video analysis, to fine-tuning game play on the practice range followed by 9 holes with the pro.

Guests can also use the Links Golf Course at nearby Belle Mare Plage hotel.

Five north-facing synthetic grass courts are surrounded by palm trees and the lagoon, and illuminated by floodlights at night. The resort's tennis pro, an expert in the Peter Burwash Academy training programme, is also available for individual coaching.

Further Recreation

Every day, the Sports Team organises and co-ordinates a host of team-sport matches including volleyball, mini-football, bocciball, badminton, tennis, croquet, table tennis and beach soccer. Cross-island bicycle rides and horse riding offer enriching personal exploration of the pure beauty discovered on Mauritius.

All of the hotel's 162 luxury junior and ocean suites are handsome spaces of fine proportion, offering vistas of the deep blue of the Indian Ocean. The suites have recently been updated to incorporate modern and warm colours and additional cushions have been added for superior comfort.

All feature a private terrace facing either the ocean or cove, or a door opening onto a tropical garden. Spacious bathrooms are beautifully appointed, with great cascading showers.
