The ABAMA Kids Club entertains 4 - 12 year olds with an action packed activity programme. During school holidays, 12 - 18 year olds are catered for in The Teen Club.

Abama also offers kids' yoga, practising yoga techniques specially adapted to suit the physical needs and energy level of children. Classes are open to children ages 3-16 and children will learn basic yoga techniques including breathing, relaxation, relieving stress, resolving conflict, concentration and focus of attention as well as exercises that improve posture, balance, flexibility and physical, mental and emotional harmony.

At Abama you will find a wide range of leisure, sports and cultural activities to make your stay exciting, interesting and memorable.

A cable car links the main resort with the secluded golden sandy beach, where the Beach Club provides tempting snacks and snorkelling and fishing can be arranged.

Throughout the year, Abama offers guests a full and varied activities calendar which includes everything from arts and crafts classes to sports activities like Atlantic breathing, yogabama and watersports such as scuba diving and sports fishing, as well as 4x4 excursions to the Teide volcano and pilot whale spotting. For tennis lovers, Abama offers seven floodlit plexiplave courts and an academy directed by professionals, as well as a fully equipped fitness centre.

Tennis

The Abama Sanchez-CasalTennis Academy is run by Emilio Sanchez-Vicario and Sergio Casalis.

Facilities include two courts where amateurs as well as beginners can develop their techniques all year round. A variety of courses are available.

Golf

The amazing golf course, designed by Dave Thomas, boasts 25,000 trees, lakes, waterfalls, along with the Atlantic Ocean out over the horizon, and can be enjoyed all year round. With a tee-off every 12 minutes, it is a private course for guests at the hotel, and includes GPS buggies.

Abama also has a Golf Academy at guests’ disposal providing one-to-one Golf lessons, as well as a Pro Shop stocked with leading specialist golf merchandise.

At Abama the rooms are divided into Double, Junior Suite, Abama Suite and Premium Suite, and the view that can be enjoyed from their terraces.

Golf course views enjoy magnificent views of holes 11 or 12, with their lakes, palm trees and subtropical vegetation or, a panoramic view of the course with Teide volcano in the background, dominating the landscape.

Ocean view rooms have spectacular full views of the Atlantic Ocean and Gomera Island, while Panoramic views enjoy views of the resort, the plantations surrounding it and the Atlantic Ocean.

Hidden among the botanic gardens tumbling down from the main citadel towards the ocean are the VIP Rooms & Suites which combine exclusive luxury with blissful seclusion.
